Work in Progress on 2009 Girls Division Four Sectional Two

CONTENDERS

Regional A
  • Abbotsford
  • Athens
  • Granton
  • Greenwood: Greenwood returns almost everyone, including junior Taylan Johnson, who was first-team Cloverbelt East all-conference and senior Brittani Morrow, who was second-team, as well as senior Jordan Ehlers (HM) and junior Kati Smith (HM).
  • Loyal: Senior Aubri Englebretson was HM Cloverbelt East all-conference.
  • Newman Catholic: With Newman Catholic dropping from D3 to D4 they definitely look to be the favorite of this sectional, especially since they return all five of their hitters from a team that went to state in D3 in 2008, including senior outside Andrea Schuster (274 kills in 2008), senior outside Emily Schuster (183 kills in 2008) and junior middle Taylor Thomas (117 kills in 2008).

  • Wisconsin Valley Lutheran
Regional B
  • Almond-Bancoft: They have first-team Central Wisconsin-10 all-conference player senior Katie Schude, as well as honorable mention honorees, juniors Mandi Crahan and Stephanie Rodriguez.
  • Assumption
  • Columbus Catholic
  • Green Lake: Junior Megan Sharkey was honorable mention Trailways North all-conference last season.
  • Port Edwards: Port Edwards graduated three Central Wisconsin-10 all-conference players.
  • Princeton
  • Saint Mary Central
  • Valley Christian: Senior Alyssa Frees was first-team Trailways North all-conference last season. Junior Lizzy Potratz was second team.
Regional C
  • Bowler: Bowler has the following 2008 Central Wisconsin-10 all-conference players: Senior Taylor Rosinski and junior Alyx Peters (both honorable mention)

  • Wabeno: Wabeno is led by a couple of 2nd Team All Area seniors and could surprise. Seniors Autumn Aderholdt and Kristen Baugnet.

forget last year, this year watch out for the florece ladycats. they've defeated the wabeno log rollers 3-0 last week. thus far they are undefeated in their conference. so forget the past and look to the future. these girls may be small in size but their hearts are enormous! lead by senior katie brownson and junior kirsten paulson they're a delight to watch on the net.
